Set Shot

A shot taken with both hands where a player stands without jumping

Jump Shot

A shot taken with one or both hands where a player jumps into the air

Dunk Shot

A dunk shot refers to a shot where the ball is slammed directly into the basket from above the rim.

Lay-up Shot

A layup shot refers to a shot that is thrown up from below, laying the ball up near basket.

Floater Shot

A floater shot refers to a shot thrown overhead, drawing a high curved trajectory to avoid the height of the opposing player.

Hook Shot

A hook shot refers to a shot where a player lifts the ball with one hand to avoid the opponent's defense, and throw the shot by twisting your body so that the hand with the ball is far from the opponent.

Tip-in Shot

A tip-in shot refers to a shot that is slightly pushed in with the fingertips during an offensive rebound (classified as a dunk shot, not a tip-in shot, when grabbing the goal post).

An alley-oop shot refers to a shot where a player catches a pass in the air and throw it before the player touches the court.

Key Pass

A key pass refers the following cases.

  1. a player who received the pass attempts a shot immediately
  2. a player who received the pass in the paint zone attempts a shot in the paint zone
  3. a player who received the pass attempts to shot without dribble passing an opponent player

Assist

Assist refers to the following cases.

  1. a player who received the pass attempts a shot immediately and score or gets a free throw from the shot action and score from the free throw
  2. a player who received the pass in the paint zone attempts a shot in the paint zone and score or gets a free throw from the shot action and score from the free throw
  3. a player who received the pass attempts to shot without dribble passing an opponent player and score or gets a free throw from the shot action and score from the free throw
